its very impressive how it can stabalize and hold its own weight. But wheels and treads will always be better then legs. For example a mech. In real life. a tank could cover more rocky and desolate terrain then a mech. it also would fall over and crash.

i want to swat it with an oar.

Something with wheels would be better. Better balance, can move faster, more energy and cost effective.

It could be used to examine hostile environments where humans can't normally go to inspect things. The Chernobyl incident is one thing that comes to mind, people might be able to use a robot like this to examine the extreme center of the "Sarcophagus." Maybe examine the insides of active volcanoes. IDK, but I can certainly see some uses for this technology, maybe not this particular robot after all, I assume it's a prototype.

So what is this thing ment to do? Other than recreate the sound of a swarm of flys

Good thing: it's not that loud...

You stupid kids need to stop trying to refute people's arguements. You've obviously never even taken basic high school chemistry or you would be aware that burning anything wastes the majority of the energy on heat rather than light. Candles arent even cost effective when compared to filaments so you're making yourself look ignorant.

Moving on to bigger things is not the point of engineering, and this invention certainly has no utility purposes beyond recreation.
